Cabinet approval has been granted for a proposal by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation to purchase Petrol 92 Unl, Murban crude oil and Diesel (0.05% M.S.) under long-term contracts.
Bids were invited from registered suppliers of the Corporation under a limited international competitive procurement procedure.
Following an evaluation of the bids received, the decision was taken based on the recommendations of the High-Level Standing Procurement Committee.
Accordingly, Cabinet approved the proposal submitted by the Minister of Energy to award the relevant procurements to the lowest substantially responsive bidders.
