US President Donald Trump has decided to impose a 50% tariff on goods imported from Canada.
Foreign media reports said the new tariff measures are expected to come into effect within 30 days.
The decision was reportedly taken in response to Canada’s actions against US trade policies.
Reports indicate that the move comes after Canada decided to impose tariffs on US-made automobiles, dairy products, and alcoholic beverages.
The United States said the new tariffs will apply to a range of goods, including consumer products exported from Canada to the US.
