The Secretary to the Ministry of Defence has confirmed that ‘Agbo’, the elephant that had been missing in recent days, was found in the Nachchaduwa Reserve following a special joint search operation conducted by the Sri Lanka Army and the Department of Wildlife Conservation.
The special operation was launched yesterday (19) on the instructions of the Defence Ministry Secretary to assess the elephant’s health and ensure its safety.
