The Fort Magistrate’s Court today (24) issued a warrant for Jaffna District Parliamentarian Archchuna Ramanathan for failing to appear before court in a case.
The warrant was issued in connection with a case filed against the MP over an incident involving obstruction of duties of Fort Police officers.
The Parliamentarian failed to appear before court when the case was taken up today. His sureties also did not appear before the court during the proceedings.
Accordingly, the Fort Magistrate’s Court ordered the issuance of a warrant against MP Archchuna Ramanathan.
