An unidentified male body has been found in a coconut plantation in the Lunuwila area within the Koswatta Police Division.
Police said an investigation was launched after receiving information about the body yesterday (10) morning.
The deceased is believed to be a man around 70 years old. He was wearing white shorts and a black long-sleeved shirt.
Police observations suggest that the man may have died several days ago. Koswatta Police are conducting further investigations to establish his identity and determine the cause of death.
