Three suspects have been arrested by Hatton Police for engaging in gem mining without a valid licence.

Police said the arrests were made during a raid conducted on July 23, 2026, evening in the Shannon area of the Hatton Police Division based on information received by officers.

The arrested suspects are residents of the Hatton area aged 33, 36 and 37 years.

Hatton Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
