A temporary procedure has been introduced for submitting applications for Police Clearance Certificates due to urgent maintenance work on the data system used to issue the certificates.
Police Headquarters has announced that applicants can visit the official Sri Lanka Police website, www.police.lk, download the application form and complete it until the system is updated.
The completed application form must be submitted to clear.application@police.gov.lk along with photocopies of the applicant’s National Identity Card and passport.
Applicants are not required to make any payment at this stage, Police Headquarters said.
However, all applicants who submit their applications through the temporary procedure will be required to submit their applications again through the online system once the data system is restored, Police Headquarters further announced.
