President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has focused on establishing a single national system covering the entire public service, instead of separate systems operated independently by different government institutions.
The President has also emphasized that the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government and the Ministry of Digital Economy should work in close coordination towards this objective.
He made these remarks during a discussion held at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday (29) to review the progress of programmes to digitalise local authorities and Divisional Secretariats under the Government’s digital transformation programme.
