A notice has been issued requiring the Officer-in-Charge of the Financial Crimes Investigation Division to appear before court on October 12 to report facts regarding the anticipatory bail application filed by Shiranthi Rajapaksa, the wife of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
The anticipatory bail application was taken up before the Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court today (06).
Police have also informed Shiranthi Rajapaksa to appear before the Financial Crimes Investigation Division on October 13 to provide a statement in connection with investigations into the ‘Siriliya Saviya’ account.
Meanwhile, Shiranthi Rajapaksa filed an anticipatory bail application before the Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court yesterday (05), seeking an order preventing her arrest in connection with the ongoing investigation.
