The Sri Lanka Police has announced that a section of the Colombo–Kandy main road between Kadugannawa and Ganethenna has been closed due to adverse weather conditions.
The road section has been closed as a precautionary measure due to the risk of rocks falling onto the roadway, ensuring the safety of motorists.
Images showing rocks that have fallen onto the Colombo–Kandy road have been released.
Motorists have been requested to use alternative routes until further notice.
