National People’s Power (NPP) Parliamentarian Dr. Najith Indika has alleged that the Rajapaksa family has become a symbol of legal cases, claiming that nearly every member of the family is facing court cases.
Criticising the political practices of the Rajapaksa family, the MP said that such a situation is not seen among any other political families in the world.
“Rajapaksas are one of the most unique families in the world. Namal Rajapaksa has cases, his father has cases, his mother has cases, his elder brother, younger brother, uncle, relatives and even grandmother have cases. The entire family is surrounded by legal cases,” the MP stated.
He further said that the Rajapaksa family could even be used as an example in schools around the world to teach how a family should avoid falling into such a political situation.
