The University of Peradeniya has announced that all academic activities, which were temporarily suspended due to adverse weather conditions, will resume from Monday, 10 August 2026.
Accordingly, students residing in university hostels have been permitted to return to their respective hostels from Sunday, 9 August 2026.
The university expressed its gratitude to all students, staff members and parents for their understanding and cooperation regarding the decisions taken during the period of adverse weather conditions.
The Vice Chancellor stated that all necessary arrangements have been made to conduct academic activities normally and safely from 10 August 2026, while seeking the continued support of the entire university community.
