The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has seized more than 758 motorcycle safety helmets without the SLS certification mark during 182 island-wide raids conducted in July and October this year.
The latest operation, launched on October 6, involved 84 raids across 21 districts. During these raids, 327 helmets without the SLS certification mark were seized.
The raids targeted motorcycle helmets that failed to comply with the SLS 517 standard, which specifies the requirements for protective helmets.
