Colombo Magistrate Pasan Amarasekara has issued notices to 10 doctors who were members of the medical board of former State Intelligence Service Director, retired Major General Suresh Sallay, directing them to appear before court on October 06.
The notices were issued after the Magistrate considered submissions made by the Criminal Investigation Department through a motion.
It was recently revealed before the Fort Magistrate’s Court that retired Major General Suresh Sallay, who was arrested in connection with the Easter Sunday attacks and is currently receiving treatment at the Colombo National Hospital, has swelling of the heart and that a medical device has been fitted to his heart to control the condition.
These details were revealed based on a report issued by a medical board regarding his health condition.
