Sri Lanka Police has introduced a new WhatsApp number for the public to make inquiries regarding police clearance applications.
The Police Clearance Division at Police Headquarters said the new facility came into effect on September 23, 2026.
Under the new service, applicants can submit relevant information and make inquiries regarding their police clearance applications through WhatsApp messages.
Applicants can contact the Police Clearance Division via WhatsApp at 071-8595950.
Police stressed that the number has been introduced for WhatsApp messages only.
