Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court has ordered the release on bail of Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa, who had been remanded in connection with money laundering allegations related to the Airbus case.
Accordingly, Colombo Fort Magistrate Pasan Amaraseena ordered that the suspect be released on a cash bail of Rs. 500,000 and two surety bonds of Rs. 100 million each, Ada Derana’s court correspondent reported.
The suspect’s foreign travel has also been prohibited, and the Magistrate ordered that the relevant authorities be notified of the travel restriction.
In addition, the Magistrate imposed a bail condition preventing the suspect from interfering with or influencing witnesses.
