Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa and former executive director of the Krish Group and businesswoman Janaki Siriwardena, who are in remand custody over the controversial ‘Krish’ deal, have been further remanded until October 16 by the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court.
The order was issued by Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama after considering submissions made by officers of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) and lawyers appearing for the suspects.
The order further states that a decision on the bail applications submitted by the suspects will also be announced on October 16.
