The annual grand festival of the historic Nallur Kandaswamy Temple begins today, Monday, with the traditional flag-hoisting ceremony.
The festival will continue for 25 days, with religious ceremonies scheduled to take place in the mornings and evenings.
Among the key events, the Manja Festival is scheduled for Wednesday the 26th at 4.45 p.m., followed by the Karthikai Festival on the 3rd at 4.45 p.m.
The Kailasa Vahana Festival will be held on Saturday the 5th at 4.45 p.m., while the Vel Vimana Festival is scheduled for Sunday the 6th at 4.45 p.m.
The Orumuga Festival will take place on Monday the 7th at 4.45 p.m., followed by the Chappara Festival on Tuesday the 8th at 4.45 p.m.
The grand Chariot Festival is scheduled for Wednesday the 9th at 6.15 a.m. The following day, Thursday the 10th, the Theertham Festival will be held at 6.15 a.m., followed by the flag-lowering ceremony at 5.30 p.m.
