National People’s Power (NPP) Parliamentarian Chandana Sooriyaarachchi has been arrested by the Athurugiriya Police in connection with an accident involving a 65-year-old pedestrian in the Panagoda area.
Police said the accident occurred last night (October 7) when a vehicle driven by the MP collided with the pedestrian.
The injured man has been admitted for medical treatment.
Athurugiriya Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
