A 45-year-old man has gone missing after being swept away by a strong water current in the Ambagamuwa area within the Ginigathhena Police Division on August 3, 2026.
Police launched an investigation following a complaint received by the Ginigathhena Police Station stating that the man was travelling along a road submerged due to heavy rainfall when he was caught in the water current and swept away.
The missing person has been identified as a resident of the Ambagamuwa area.
Further investigations into the incident are being carried out by the Ginigathhena Police.
