The wife of former Cabinet Minister and Monaragala District Parliamentarian Jagath Pushpakumara has died following an accident.
The deceased has been identified as 55-year-old Deshani Gunaratne, a mother of two.
According to reports, the accident occurred when she fell from the second floor of a newly constructed building owned by the family.
She was admitted to Karapitiya Hospital following the incident and was receiving treatment when she died this morning (19).
Her remains are scheduled to be taken to the family residence in Thanamalwila.
