Kekirawa Police have launched an investigation after receiving information that a man had died following an assault at a house in the Kottalbadha area of the Kekirawa Police Division early on August 23, 2026.
The deceased was a 56-year-old resident of the Kottalbadha area.
Initial investigations have revealed that the incident occurred following a dispute with a man from a neighbouring house during a party held at the victim’s residence.
The neighbouring resident allegedly attacked the victim with a sharp weapon, resulting in his death.
The suspect has fled the area following the incident. Kekirawa Police are conducting further investigations to arrest the suspect.
