The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has conducted raids and investigations at 362 pharmacies across the island from January 1 to June 30 this year.
The Authority stated that 471 special pharmacy inspection operations have been carried out so far this year.
During this period, courts have imposed fines amounting to Rs. 2,269,500 on cases filed in relation to violations identified during these inspections.
Meanwhile, a special islandwide pharmacy inspection and investigation programme conducted on July 3 and 4 resulted in inspections of 109 pharmacies and 86 raids, according to the Consumer Affairs Authority.
