The Government Information Department has announced that the 1818 hotline, introduced under the “Ratama Ekata” national operation to eradicate the threat of illicit drugs, is now operating 24 hours a day.
The hotline has been introduced to provide security authorities with accurate information regarding drug trafficking, distribution or any suspicious activity related to illicit drugs taking place across the country.
The confidentiality of individuals providing information will be fully protected, while swift action based on the information received is also a key feature of the service.
The service operates under the direct supervision of the Presidential Secretariat and the “Ratama Ekata” National Operations Council.
