Several people who were affected by excessive noise during a festival held last night at the Murugamoorthy Temple in Pranpattu, Pandatharippu, Jaffna, have been admitted to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital.
All those affected were immediately referred to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital, where they are receiving treatment.
At present, a total of 157 people have been admitted to the hospital due to eye-related and other health complications. They include 58 men, 44 women and 55 children.
